Central heating is the heating of the whole house environment rather then the NZ tradition of heating just living rooms. It provides a warm and inviting heat in every room, that increases comfort, and is a healthier, dryer home environment.

Hydronic radiant heating uses hot water distributed through a closed balanced piping network, which has a life expectancy of 400 years, usually embedded in the floor, to warm the floor surface. This effectively turns it into a radiant panel. In this way uniform heat is continually and quietly directed where it is needed most- in the lower region of the floor, warming the occupants from the floor up. Likewise radiators are fed hot water through a closed pipe system and gently radiate warm air into the room, heating the air and occupants without drafts.

This form of heating means room surfaces are warm to touch, and as humidity levels are more easily controlled, the dyer rooms are free from damp. The home is also freer from airborne allergens and dust creating a much healthier environment, especially for asthma sufferers.

The heat source can be varied according the availability of the type. We use wood burners, diesel, solar, heat pumps, pellets and gas and in certain circumstances, electricity. These fuel sources produce the heat output necessary to punch in enough heat to the floor to give a quicker response of heat into the home.
